		Prior to joining Easton Capital in 2004, Charles was a partner in the New York office of Torys LLP, an international business law firm with more than 300 lawyers in New York and Toronto. Charles is a nationally recognized corporate and transactional attorney concentrating on mergers and acquisitions, venture capital investments and private equity fund formation. He has more than twenty-eight years' experience advising buyers and sellers in acquisition transactions and related equity and debt financings, and has negotiated and closed more than one hundred fifty such transactions as well as several hundred venture capital investments. His clients have included companies from the technology and health care sectors, specialty chemicals companies, automotive parts manufacturers and consumer products distributors, as well as venture capital funds. He received a J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law, an LL.M. (taxation) from New York University School of Law and an A.B. degree from Princeton University. Charles serves on the Boards of several companies, including TLC Envirotech.
