		Charles has spent more than twenty-eight years in the venture capital and private equity arenas. Prior to joining Easton Capital in 2004, Charles was a partner in the New York office of Torys LLP, an international law firm with more than 300 lawyers in New York and Toronto. Charles is a nationally recognized corporate and transactional attorney concentrating on venture capital investments, mergers and acquisitions and private equity fund formation. His experience includes twenty years as a partner advising venture investors and venture backed companies in their financings as well as structuring acquisition transactions and related equity and debt financings. He has negotiated and closed several hundred venture capital investments as well as more than one hundred fifty sales. His clients included companies from the technology, digital media, clean tech, medical device and biotech arenas. He received a JD from the University of Virginia School of Law, an LLM (taxation) from New York University School of Law and an AB degree from Princeton University Charles serves on the Boards of several companies, including: IGA Worldwide, TLC Envirotech, Lamina Lighting and GXStudios.
