Salmedix, Inc.
Salmedix was a late stage biopharmaceutical company focusing on in-licensing and development of cancer products. The Company’s lead product, SDX-105, was in Phase II/III clinical trials for non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma at the time of Easton's investment. In addition, Salmedix had two drugs in Phase II clinical development, as well as several preclinical product candidates. Easton invested in Salmedix in March 2004 along side other prominent investors included HIG Ventures, OrbiMed Advisors, InterWest Partners, Versant Ventures, CMEA Ventures, Delphi Ventures, Ventures West, Aberdare Partners and ProQuest Investments. Salmedix was acquired in June 2005, providing Easton with proceeds approximately twice its investment.
